Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She was the first and youngest woman to be awarded a British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982. During the first few years of her life she was split her time between London New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. In the following years, in Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in 1999. Anouskha is still a young woman, but she has a very remarkable career in the field of music and performance. Her father was with her in many performances for some time. The singer made Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years later than her first solo album.
